BIO

Hi, I’m Kesem. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia, and I’m passionate about creating a supportive, compassionate space where people can slow down, feel understood, and begin to imagine change. I entered the mental health field after earning my bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and my master’s degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University, guided by a deep interest in people’s stories and their capacity for growth.

I’ve worked in inpatient, outpatient, and community-based settings, supporting individuals through a wide range of life experiences. I especially enjoy working with young adults and adults who are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, trauma, and burnout. Many of the people I work with are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves - and are looking for a space where they can breathe, reflect, and

My approach to therapy is warm, empathetic, and collaborative. I draw from cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and person-centered perspectives, tailoring our work to your needs and goals. Above all, I strive to create an environment where you feel safe, supported, and hopeful about the possibility of change, even when things feel heavy or uncertain.

Outside of the therapy room, you’ll often find me spending time outdoors, thrifting, traveling, or rock climbing. I also love cozy moments with a cup of chai or matcha tea - small rituals that help me stay grounded and present.
