Hi, I'm Stephanie McGraw - licensed clinical psychologist, co-founder of Aspen Grove Wellness, and someone who deeply believes in the capacity of insight, connection, and emotional authenticity to create meaningful change.

I completed my doctoral training through George Washington University’s Professional Psychology Program and went on to serve for eight years as an Assistant Clinical Professor at West Virginia University School of Medicine – East. During my time at WVU Medicine, I helped build a comprehensive psychology program in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, co-designed their APA-accredited Internship in Clinical Psychology, and served as Internship Training Director for six years.

My clinical work is grounded in deep listening, curiosity, and respect

BIO

for each person’s lived experience. Before offering tools or direction, I work to understand the meaning and context behind each behavior. Together, we’ll explore the internal and external forces that are shaping your current experience so that you can identify what’s getting in the way and begin building a more grounded, values-aligned life.

I work with adults and young adults navigating anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, identity exploration, grief, and relationship challenges. I’m especially passionate about supporting those in caregiving roles, high-pressure professions, or periods of transition who are trying to reconnect with themselves.

Theoretically, I identify as an integrative psychologist. My work is influenced by relational, developmental, and cognitive-behavioral approaches. But in practice, I tailor therapy to each client, focusing on the quality of the therapeutic relationship as the foundation for growth. I believe healing happens in safe, collaborative spaces where emotional honesty is welcomed and change feels possible.

Outside of my clinical work, I find meaning in being a mom, a friend, a partner, and a person always in the process of learning. I love chasing after my kids and dogs, volunteering in my community, getting lost in a good book, or dreaming up my next trip. These parts of my life ground me and shape my perspective in the therapy room. They remind me that healing is rarely linear, but always worth the effort.

If you're looking for a therapist who brings both professional expertise and a real sense of humanity to the work, I’d be honored to connect.
